2022 Car Show - Check presentation to the families of honorees, HM3 Maxton Soviak & CPL Humberto Sanchez

Homefront WCPO Story – 4th Annual Back the Heroes Rumble Car Show

The WCPO news story by Craig McKee highlights the deadly impact of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, specifically the suicide bombing near Kabul airport that took the lives of 13 service members. Hospital Corpsman Third Class Maxton Soviak and Corporal Humberto Sanchez were among those killed. In response, a group called “Got Your Six Garage” plans to honor fallen heroes, including Soviak and Sanchez, through a car show fundraiser called “Back the Heroes Rumble.”

The event aims to support the families of the fallen by raising funds and expressing community solidarity. The car show, in its fourth year, is set for August 6 at Batavia Township Park. Veterans and supporters emphasize the importance of ensuring that fallen heroes are never forgotten, and the families know that the community has their support.
